Why should we partner with SRES® at Seniors Real Estate Solutions?
The manner in which you form your team from the outset significantly influences your overall journey. We specialize in supporting individuals and families through major life transitions. Our Senior Real Estate Specialists (SRES®) are committed to meeting the distinct needs of each person. Our accreditation and dedication to advocacy are among our greatest strengths. By focusing on personalized transition plans, we partner with a variety of community organizations to provide essential assistance. Our approach allows us to quickly and effectively identify and address challenges, ensuring that we maintain a strong focus on the overarching objectives of our logistics operations.
Why do I need a specialist over a standard professional Realtor®?
Not all realtors possess the same level of expertise. Specialists demonstrate a greater commitment and accountability within their respective fields. They hold additional credentials, designations, and experience, allowing them to concentrate on specific areas of the market. Such qualifications significantly reduce the risk of regulatory violations. Our primary objective is to alleviate common stressors faced by individuals or families. We understand the importance of problem-solving and the formulation of strategic action plans. Our approach centers on creating tailored action plans that address unique needs, allowing us to proactively mitigate challenges while maintaining a focus on the broader picture.
How do I determine how much of my belongings I can bring to my new home?
Taking the time to execute a space/floor plan for your new home really helps clarify what may be best to take. We do our absolute best to creatively use the furniture that you cherish and will function best for you. After you identify and list your most prized possessions, our goal is to make it easy for you to remember and access your belongings going forward. In the event you are transitioning into assisted living, simply bridge us with your facility's key administrator so we may gather information regarding any rules/bylaws and incorporate them into your plan.
What happens to the items that are left behind?
You can tell us what you want to do with them. We have suggestions/solutions for the “stuff” that is no longer serving you. Monetizing valuables, finding meaningful homes for donations, and simply removing the unwanted items. Just because something no longer serves you, does not mean it cannot serve another – trash to treasure.
How long does the process take, from the first meeting to being fully transitioned?
The timeline for your situation will depend on its specific nature and urgency. Generally, we anticipate a duration of just a few weeks. We can break the process into manageable increments, allowing us to progress at a pace that suits your needs.

Please remember that our care team functions much like a fairy godmother; your primary responsibilities will involve making approvals and decisions. However, reaching out as early as possible will ensure that your allocated time remains available, even if you are still undecided.

We do everything whether you are local or abroad. Our SRES® facilitate complex timeline coordination and task execution to streamline the process efficiently. Our care-team handles the manual labour. Your family can tell us what you want to do with unwanted items, or we have suggestions/solutions for the things that no longer of use. Our care-team communicates with updated emails, text messages, phone calls, and facetime. As an advocate for your loved one you are part of the care-team.
How fast can you move us?
The process of downsizing, packing, moving, unpacking, and setting up typically takes place within 7 to 10 days following the consultation. Our dedicated care team, specifically trained to assist seniors during transitions, handles every aspect without outsourcing to multiple companies. You can rely on our team's commitment and expertise, and we will schedule a date during the consultation.
What do I have to do on the day of the move?
There is absolutely no requirement for manpower on your part. A project manager will be present on-site to supervise all activities. We encourage you to relax, take a moment for yourself, and meet us at your new location. Upon your arrival, your bed will be prepared, allowing you to unwind and share your preferences for wall decorations. Your primary task is to enjoy the experience as our care team transforms your new space into a home.
How many days does it the entire process take?
This will need to be assessed during our on-site free consultation; however, we are always prepared for short timelines when the family is in need. On average we need two (2) days for downsizing and packing. The next day the movers come to load up the belongings for transport. The cleaning team will arrive later in the day (sometimes the following day) to commence the Realtor ready move-out clean. Moving day and set-up in the new space is the same day. Professional photography and marketing follows thereafter.
What if we don’t own real estate property and we need to downsize and transition?
Our dedication to understanding, empathy, and comprehensive service sets us apart as a valuable resource for seniors in our community. Our impact extends beyond mere real estate transactions – we are facilitating life-changing transitions that enhance the lives of seniors and contribute to their overall happiness and well-being and for that reason alone our downsizing services are accessible.
What areas do you service?
We are a trusted source for Senior Real Estate Needs and transitioning for the Greater Vancouver Area, between Squamish and Hope BC. Including Vancouver Island and Sunshine Coast. We have a top tier referral program in place for areas outside of the above mentioned areas.
So where do we start?
Simply book a free consultation by calling 1-888-613-7737 (SRES) and one of our friendly intake officers will book you with your SRES® coordinator within a couple of days of placing your phone call.
How much will this cost?
The appropriate course of action depends on the options selected to meet individual needs, as this process is tailored specifically for you. Commissions are calculated as a percentage, generally around 3%, and are divided between both agents (Seller & Buyer) and their respective brokerages. Partnering with an experienced SRES® negotiator can significantly enhance the sale price of your home, potentially resulting in thousands of dollars more. This additional income can offset the costs associated with the comprehensive services included in your action plan.
Our SRES® professionals recognize and honor the importance of the equity in family homes, as it plays a crucial role in your retirement planning and any future care requirements. Moreover, the real estate board requires that the final costs related to each offer presented to you be disclosed. This obligation ensures that you (the consumer) can make an informed decision about your home's selling price as you move toward closing.
True transparency and the absence of unexpected developments are ensured when your action plan is customized specifically to meet your needs.
